LDTR is a community resource platform that needed to aggregate content from multiple external sources — government databases, event feeds, service directories — and present it in one coherent, easy-to-navigate destination for its users.
The core design challenge was taming complexity without hiding it. LDTR’s users come to the platform precisely because they need access to a wide range of resources — the job of the design was to make that breadth feel accessible rather than overwhelming.
Custom API integrations were designed into the front-end experience so that pulled content — whether from a government directory or an external event feed — rendered consistently within the LDTR design system, regardless of the source format. This required close collaboration with the development team to define data structures and design flexible templates that could handle variable content.
The result is a platform where users can find what they need quickly, with confidence that the information is current — because it’s pulled live from source rather than manually maintained.
